congrats to Ankara.
Men's CEV Champions League 2023

Zaytsev had a solid performance, but the OHs’ performance was very inconsistent. That error at 12-12 from Yant killed Lube’s last chance to advance
The MB’s attack hasn’t been reliable at crucial time since Simon left
-
Congrats Halkbank! The investment paid off.
-
Time to reach the finale!!
Wegiel-Halkbank games have no favorites.
-
Blengini said he aimed to renew with Lube during an interview, but now I think it’s almost certain that it will not happen
-
Now the semi will be:
Perugia vs. Trentino/Zaksa
Ankara vs. JW
Perugia will test mental toughness in semi. They have a history of collapse in crucial games. Trentino and Zaksa are tough competitors. Ankara have a good chance to advance to final.

He has a valid contract to 2024.
Halkbank played pretty mediocre volleyball in both games, so Jastrzębski should be a favorite, but if Nimir finds a better shape, then this is very open series. We'll see.

The MB’s attack hasn’t been reliable at crucial time since Simon left
Since Juan and Simon left Lube this season, Lube is not as strong as before. Garcia and Yant are not stable, and Yant's reception is on and off from time to time. Zaytsev played well today, but I don't think he can continue playing on this level, considering his age.

Zaksa-JW final please!
-
When CEV will lift the ban for Russian teams?
Players are innocent, and they should not be punished due to the war. It's been 2 years.
Now CEV is getting boring with all Russian teams being excluded.
-
He has a valid contract to 2024.
I’ll be surprised if they don’t fire him after they lose the CL and Superlega both at QF, which is very likely to happen.
-
Zaksa-JW final please!
imagining two Polish clubs meet in the final to be held in Italy. must be interesting.
-
He has a valid contract to 2024.
No, until the end of this season. He signed 3-year contract, but because he took over the coach position in advance in 20-21 season, the contract expires by the end of this season.

Hope it will be same with 2 turkish Women teams in Italy.

Didn't the club fire De Giorgi right after they lost one match in QF or SF of CL and then hired Blengini before ?
Poor De Giorgi

Well, he's one of the best coaches in the history of a club (3, or 4 scudettos?), and no matter how critical you can get about him this year (I mean, I agree he didn't use his squad 100%), the fact is Civitanova has the weakest roster since 14/15 season (and they finished that year in QFs as well). Last year, he was pretty amazing considering all health problems that Civitanova had.
So I don't know what they will do, I don't think there's a coach that would make this team compete for legit trophies.

You are right. Thanks! My memory was wrong. During the interview, Blengini said: "I want to clarify that I have another year of contract with Lube that I intend to honour"
There has been rumor about Lorenzetti replacing Blengini, which also gave me some impression.
-
so many blocks already
-
zaksa came back to take the second set
-
I thought Trentino was going to take it and was kinda glad because I already slept late last night because of Halkbank‘s match but no, Zaksa made a spectacular come back. Huber’s blocks were crucial.
Maybe off topic but there was a conversation about Huber and that stupid coach but it wasn’t translated well. Does anyone care to explain?
