  • Germany, Bulgaria and Russia have said- We won't play in Japan.
The same situation is in the Women's World Grand Prix.
Nobody won't play in the World Cup if the tournament will be in Japan.
    Everything because of radiation.

I guess Japanese will have to figure out where they can safely organize competition and where they can't.
But that's a very stupid decision to boycott Japan just because it is Japan.
For example, Nagasaki (where Russia is supposed to play) must be as close from Fukushima as Moscow is from Tchernobyl ...

  • Japan will play all home matches outside of the country.
Probably the same situation will be with the Women's NT in World Grand Prix.
About the World Cups the decision FIVB will create to 20 May.

  • overacting much?
i don't think the whole country of Japan is affected by the radiation i'm sure there are places without even a sign of earthquakes and tsunami disastear so i don't really understand the decision of other teams.

but i've read that Poland is ready to take over the world cup if FIVB decides to move it to another country

Anyone can support a team that is winning - it takes no courage. But to
stand behind a team to defend a team when it is down and really needs
you, that takes a lot of courage.

  • I read that Japan will play their "home" matches in Bulgaria, Germany and Russia. I'm happy because the matches will be in the evening and of course it pays them back after FIVB included them in the WL undeserved. :)

The US threw a nuclear bomb on Nagasaki a while back though

  • Bulgaria and Serbia can go for it, Bulgaria will have grand arena in August in Sofia, like Arena Belgrad

One hall is insufficient. In Japan was always three groups in three different cities. If I'm not wrong in Japan WC was playing in 8 cities. It's impossible to do so big tournament in one place.

Bulgaria now has 2 international halls - one in Samokov and one in Varna. With Arena Sofia there will be three. Serbians have Arena Belgrade and I am sure they have couple of other halls.
