Germany - DVL 1. Bundesliga 2012/13

  • 19 year old Brazilian OH/Opp Sthefanie Paulino (ex-Junior NT) will play for Schweriner SC. She is originally Opp but because of injury problems in Schwerin they also let her practice reception and she does quite well there so she can play OH too. Maybe she can make her debut already tomorrow against Stuttgart.
The club also has a young player from Cameroon in tryout training, she is very athletic and talented and if they sign her they would want to keep her for a few years.

    Source? :win:

  • Do you expect a good fight by Stuttgart? I do, because they will have nothing to lose against Schweriner. A bird told me that against Wiesbaden Stuttgart players were kind of scared because they were expected to win in their first home game.... So now they are the big underdog in this game so they must be more relaxed... Any broadcast for this game??? :|

Радо Стойчев каза: Мизия, Тракия, Македония! Западните покрайнини - завинаги български!

  • No broadcast unfortunately, this week only Hamburg-Dresden is on DVL live TV.
And yes, I do expect a good fight by Stuttgart, but probably Schwerin will be stronger anyway. I can't even tell exactly why, but something distinguishes them from the other teams in German league, they always play well enough to win and when they don't play well they can always start to play better anytime...

  •

    Official source ;)

Cocorico !

  • thats right Mathias, but on the end of the game the 1m90 toll player is still 1m90 toll...and the 1m75 player will be tired, and not necessary abble to reach at 3m30...

Big victory for Hamburg, finally they arrived in the season  I could watch only the last 2,5 sets, but it was a very low level match. Both teams totally sucked in reception, Hamburg even more actually but Dresden had a breakdown in 5th set which ended with 2 aces of Mareike Hindriksen (7 aces for her in total!). Judith Pietersen played very well for Dresden but it was not enough...so now, Schwerin is the only unbeaten team.
    Tomorrow: Münster-Suhl.

  • what about İzquierdo's reception? it seems to have been good against Hamburg.Generally?

Considering her age she's a quite solid receiver already, and after the perfomances she showed so far this season I can say she is probably the biggest OH talent in Germany in the last 10 years or so...I hope she'll stay healthy and keep developing well :win:

  • 18. November 2012
    Münster - Suhl 3:2 (28:26 / 25:22 / 19:25 / 14:25 / 15:6)

    MVP: no info yet

Suhl with the first won sets of the season but probably they won't be too happy about it. They gave away high leads in the first two sets, the match could have ended different for them...

    Lea Hildebrand and Steffi Golla

  • libero in bundesliga is a hard job! so much girl playong in this position are injured in your league, thats weird

Les pieds dans le fumier, mais toujours le verbe haut et la tête droite ! Cocorico !

  • Yes it is really extreme this season, I noticed it too...usually liberos and setters are players who get injured less than others because they don't have to jump so much, but right now there are 4 injured liberos in our league (Tzscherlich, Schoot, Dörendahl, Delogu), plus two who had injuries during preparations or in the last weeks (Rühl, Gschwendtner).

  • Allianz Stuttgart intends to sign a new libero this week because of Delogu's injury. They already have a Bulgarian player in tryout training and are checking videos of another foreign player. Their manager says he expects the new player will play already next weekend.

  • Yes, today in bulgarian site there is information that bulgarian libero Ivelina Monova has already signed with Allianz Sttutgart by the end of the season. She comes from second in bulgarian championship Maritza Plovdiv and she is second national libero after Maria Filipova.
