It will be interesting to see who the USA brings to this tournament.
I doubt they will field a very strong team. Most of the girls in this age group with National Team potential will either be playing in college or will have already started training with their professional teams. I suppose those who play in Puerto Rico may play in this tournament since the PR League starts later in the season.

Cuban Roster:
Melissa Vargas
Alena Rojas
Daymara Lescay
Emely Borrell
Dayesi Luis Ruis
Rosanna Giel Ramos
Beatriz Vilches
Sulian Matienzo
Jennifer Alvarez
Haidi Rodriguez2 more players will replace Yoana Palacio and Dainilys Cruz, because these two players will not qualify to participate, because they were born in 1990.
So Cuba will have the same team that participated at the Grand Prix without Yoana Palacio and Cruz.

My Dominican Republic roster would be:
Yonkaira Peña
Jeoselyna Rodriguez
Candida Arias (MB)
Marianne Fersola (MB)
Brenda Castillo (L)
Celenia Toribio (Setter)
Camil Dominguez (Setter)
Ana Binet
Brayelin Martinez
Winnifer Fernandez (L)
Pamela Soriano
Gayla Gonzalez/Erasma Moreno -
Is Camil Dominguez still active player?

She came back to practice with the rest of the players that are getting ready for this World championship, and I was told that she will be the second setter behind Celenia Toribio.

Thanks I even don't remember when did she play for any Dominican NT (senior/junior/youth) last time. I checked FIVB and NORCECA webistes and since 2010 I didn't see her in any roster Because of this I thought she retired
-
Well Cuba and DR have the strongest rosters because all of their players play for the Senior NT.. so I don't expect anything else than this 2 in the final..

Come on, Cuba's current NT is worse than most Junior NTs! I'd be very surprised if they even finish top 4 in this tournament...

Agreed. Without a decent setter, Cuba is only a bunch of strong spikers. To me, best team would be CHN, however they don't bring their best players. Still it doesn't change that they have the best generations starting of 1990s

Well their setter is not good of course but in junior the other teams a weaker, serves are easier, blocks are lower.. so I think they'll do good job.. we'll see

Camil was part of the Dominican Junior team that won silver medal at the World Championship in 2009
