Netherlands needs Pietersen. Sloetjes isn't playing at all. Maybe a break will help her.

A bit more service and block/defence and things could still work out well today.
-
Quite many serve errors from Germany
De Krujf and Belien are invisible for Dijkema? or what?
-
What's going on with Lonneke
-
German assistant coach said that the players need to get "in the head" of the Dutch players and boy our block is soooo in there
-
Femke In the first rally a double right away
-
Apits's fingers aren't the only ones which got frozen by the winter in Ankara.
-
o crap! Stolenborg and her setting....
-
It is understandble both teams are nervous. It is the opening match and so on. However, I see Netherlands is even tenser. Dikjema and Sloetjes faces are just of discomfort. They are far away of what they showed in ECH. It could be the home factor too.
Germany should stop to make so many serves errors. The times it has passed, most of the time they were able to break dutch reception.
Now Netherlands looks like the team who lost the 1st set agains Russia in the ECH final: without ideas. In the other hand, Germany must win this set by a long margin. Otherwise, this match finishes in 3 sets.

Finally everyone realizes that you can't serve on Buijs because she covers very little place
-
German team with 11 errors in 1st set. Now we see what happens when they don't do that. But they surely can't keep THIS level for too long either.
-
Plak! She's so wild!

And she passed 70% perfect in 1st set from 10 receptions: http://www.cev.lu/Competition-…hStatistics.aspx?ID=28440

Yeah, I know That is why she has so high reception stats although she is not good receiver. But covering 1-1.5m is not that hard. When any team dtarts serving anywhere but not on her Ned loses all the time;)
-
Dijkema should keep setting to Sloetjes and Germany will finish this soon
-
Judith is really needed now. Hopefully in diagonal with Dijkema.
-
Good thing is Germany won the set. Bad thing is in 2nd half they let the Dutch team come back to the game and now it is 0-0 again. Third set can look totally different, and what we saw in all preparation matches now comes true as well: teams are not solid, they can play 10 minutes total shit and the next 10 minutes like a world champion.
-
Why He keeps Sloetjes in game ?? She is playing so bad, Plak would do much better than her.

Plak was in for Buijs. Sloetjes went out together with Dijkema and I guess the only reason for Sloetjes' return was that Guidetti could impossibly keep Stoltenborg out there.
-
So now the question is: did Germany prepare for Pietersen as good as for Sloetjes?
