Jaqueline is the most talented wing spiker from Brazil, no matter how bad she played with Sesi. And don't forget she's the main reason why Brazil won its second gold medal in a row.

What is fair for you guys? Pick the teams for each pool based on what!? The ranking might not be fair, but they need a system and of course there will always be lots of complaints no matter how they organize rankings, draws and systems.
well, I don't understand how ARG is ranked higher than PUR, which is clearly a much better team, having beaten POL several times in a row now, for example.
and what a coincidence , in last 2 olypmics, both times the two weakest teams together with the host team!
-
Did Britain have a team?
And which team would be worse than them?well, I don't understand how ARG is ranked higher than PUR, which is clearly a much better team, having beaten POL several times in a row now, for example.

-
yes, they did, and they were in the easiest pool. they beat ALG.

I think it's not a coincidence. It's the serpentine system, if I recall well...
-
With the serpentine system, the weakest team will be in the last spot in Pool A, and the host is in that Pool too.
Looking forward to great matches today (not as good as the men's side).

any word on balkestein's status today?
last time netherlands and korea met was at the qualifier, korea had 11 aces while netherlands had zero.
yet korea won only by a total of eight points. sloetjes actually spiked a lot better than kim. netherlands lost robin
to injury at the end of 2nd set, who's unstoppable until that point. they have come a long way since then. it would
take a massive choke job for them to lose this game. netherlands in 4 sets. -

I dont say that Jaque is not a good player but i prefer Fe
p.s USA and Brazil are the best teams so far but dont forget Russia...
-
I'm slowly getting nervous, let's go Holland
-
This is going to be fun! Let's go Korea!
-
What a weird decision of Guidetti to start with Dijkema on pos.4 when Kim also starts on pos.4
He places his worst blocker against the best attacker -

What a great player Pietersen is!
-
South Korea needs the twin Lee at her best. KYK today is not enough, Guidetti knows her really well.
-
Is Guidetti talking in English, Italian or Dutch? I heard maybe 2 or 3 words in English.
-
Judith
Both teams passing so bad but the dutch team have got outstanding attacks thay could make up for it while Korea don't. Hopefully Laura will use her middles more.

English ofc.
-
Netherlands serving great.. Having Pietersen helps them a lot, since she is a very good server
-
A typical Guidetti match, great serving as base for success and a very well organised block-defense system that demoralises the opponent.

How many Kims exist in Korea?
