Certainly not on passing......(they did win the AVC cup though)
Not on everything.
The AVC cup was just because Japan & Iran didn’t even care.

It’s a big shame that Turkey has to play in Challenger Cup next year to fight for a VNL spot again, while China can stay in VNL. Turkey is clearly the much better team, even when their young & talented OHs are injured and not able to play in this match.
VNL is a commercial competition, one of its main objects is to explore volleyball market.
With the new format of VNL, I think it has room to add 2 more teams into the competition.

Volleyball is loved a lot in Turkey, so if marketing is the reason, turkey has a lot of potential in that department too
Mendez with stupid double sub when there is not enough subs left to make it reverse. Arg played the end of the set with a 172 cm setter front row.
Where is Ezequiel Palacios?
Where is Ezequiel Palacios?
Oh okay he is the 2nd libero
Whenever Argentina had a set point, they came up with a service error
Isn’t there a clear block touch by Iran in the replay!?
oh god, that net touch challenge.
Congrats Iran for the hard fought 5-set victory!!
Argentina paid the price for their countless service errors when holding set points & match points in the 2nd & 5th sets. (Also happened in the 4th set, but they were lucky to win that one at 34-32 after wasting many opportunities)
Argentina only needs one good serve and there's NONECongrats Iran!
Congrats to Iran. It's an intense match. Both team do everything they can to win. But Argentina just made a bad mistake in a key point.
I think Argentina has never won a match that went down to tie-break against Iran.
And mind you, there have been quite a few over the last 11 years. All defeats, quite puzzling.
Conte shouldn't made a cut shot for the last attack. Too risky.
what a marathon 3 hours of volleyball doesn't happen everyday, too bad mousavi didnt join the team we really need someone to block
I'm late but damn, why won't Lima adjust his 90% chance error prone serve

Yeah, I think he's really missed out there. Their middles are overall still too raw for a WCH.

Uhm, I don't want to justify making 36 service errors in a single game (I don't think I've ever seen something like that tbh), but one of the reasons why Argentina made such a leap a year ago at the Olympics was that they were able in their service game to put much more pressure than before by spin serves on their opponents. So, in other words, to adjust to the modern volleyball and compete for something meaningful, going all-in in serves is understandable from the standpoint of Argentinian team (since it was super helpful at the Olympics and some weakness in the past), you just wish to be in shape to have some consistency in it. That's why Lima was the second-best serving player (at least among top4 teams) in Tokyo, making series of clutch serves against Italy in QF in a 5th set.
The problem today was a complete lack of adjustment, you may not have the best day, but after 33 service errors, to make three next while having MPs, is actually bizarre situation. It's weird, cause Mendez is a smart coach, and this was once another game with Argentina struggling to serve efficiently.
They need adjustments, It has been going on since the VNL. And at this point I don't trust any serves except De Cecco's. (Which I think disrupts Iran's reception more than the others'.)
