Neuwied announced Anna Jungjohann as 4th MB, she played 2nd league in Hamburg and the last years in USA for Eckerd College.
avid Ever heard of her?
that’s in the second division of the NCAA so nope lol
-
Wiesbaden confirms Tanja Großer and says goodbye to Große Scharmann, Kastrup, Priante, Agbolossou and Guilliams.
Those are not many goodbyes, I hope it implies that everybody else will stay. Especially Gajewska and the MBs have been doing a very good job this season!

Jasper is so valuable for Potsdam now She does great both in defense and in attack, also Nemeth is very solid and Potsdam's block is good. After her great performances in semifinal Emonts is not that great now, but she's reliable in the key moments.
-
Great teamplay by Potsdam! Great defense, good setting and strong attacks
-
Stuttgart involving the MBs more in attack has been the key for 3rd set, Potsdam should try the same at least with Savic
-
In the battle of the Dutch setters, IMO Van Aalen plays the more "beautiful" style with high speed, but Bongaerts makes better choices and overall seems more clever most of the time.
-
What an amazing comeback for Potsdam in 4th set Challenge system should get the MVP award, it reversed two mistakes of the referee at important points for Potsdam.
Both teams were desperately lacking a backup OH today
-
2nd final match
Potsdam - Stuttgart 3:1 (25:23 25:22 21:25 27:25)
https://live.volleyball-bundesliga.de/2022-23/Women/2519.pdf
MVP: Laura Emonts / Krystal Rivers
Series: 1-1
IMO Schölzel should have been MVP for Stuttgart, her contribution in attack was the main reason Stuttgart could play so well despite Segura and Lee offering very little from pos.4 and also Rivers being solid, but not her outstanding self from other times.
3rd match on Wednesday, 4th match next Saturday.

Rivers was really not good. And despite a 6-point lead, Stuttgart was once again unable to win a set. That has happened several times this season

I think is difficult to judge her “choices” when they have different system and different players, but still her choices must have been the right choices when they won 3-1.
Plus in both games if you see her the side out numbers with +,# and ! Reception are better than Bongaerts. ☺️

We are all used to Rivers playing extremely good so much, that a 26 points performance with almost 50% attack is called not good

Of course! She is the highest paid volleyball player in the Bundesliga. You just always expect more. But she was better than Segura or Lee.

Now the rumor is that Schölzel goes to Pinerolo.

There's also a rumour that Schölzel is going to race in Porsche's GT3 Supercup next season, if her legs can fit in the car

The best thing is that I won't know until Saturday evening if there's a 5th game on Monday at 6:00 p.m. But I can't show up for work on Monday and then say that I have to leave at 4:00 p.m.
Volleyball fans are probably just too peaceful. There would have been a riot in football. They would only do it once, and then never again.

In Short: this is a pure triumph of strong will, huge energy and medical treatment...
