It turned out to be a rout , Shanghai had no reply to Tianjin’s attack and defence. Coach ran out of ideas

Everyone was looking forward to an exciting third leg, but it turned out to be one sided and scrappy at times. Shanghai paid the price for their lack of player options, especially since Bricio is not fully fit to play. Ou Yang Xixi replaced Bricio and Wang Yindi, at different times in the match... and she failed to deliver. You have to question their coach’s tactics as well... there’s not much variation in Shanghai’s attack... it’s mostly from position 4, and the Tianjin defenders, were ready for them. And when you have Wang Yuanyuan and Yuan Xinyue blocking like they did yesterday, not many balls get through.
Unlike Shanghai, it was mostly plain sailing for Tianjin. They did the job in front of a boisterous home crowd. The most surprising performance came from their reserve OH, 21 year old Liu Meijun. Liu replaced OP Yang Yi, (herself a replacement for injured
Vargas) in set 2 and 3 and produced a scintillating display of attacking volleyball.
How will Shanghai respond in the 4th Leg ? Will Vargas return to finish the job ? Hopefully the match won’t disappoint....
