Nation League Man 2023

  • I liked him as a player so I want him to be succesful but haven’t liked what I’ve seen from him. Not in CL and not in VNL.

Until Polish coaches won’t learn that they need learn other mentality and go abroad, they won’t be good. Winiarski is the best of them but still not good enough to coach any VNL team.

    Clinching Scenarios Remaining for Friday

ITA WIN vs. SLO OR SRB WIN vs. FRA

ITA win they reach 8 wins, FRA/SRB cannot match

With SRB WIN vs. FRA, ITA already ahead of SRB on points, if tied on wins. FRA cannot reach 7 wins.

NED cannot clinch on Friday, as if FRA wins, they are at 5 wins, if SRB wins, they are at 6 wins.

    Elimination Scenarios Remaining for Friday

FRA LOSS vs. SRB AND NED WIN vs. JPN in <5 sets, NED reaches 6 wins and 20 points, FRA can only reach 18 points if tied on wins

SRB LOSS vs. FRA AND NED WIN vs. JPN in <5 sets, NED reaches 6 wins and 19 points, SRB can only reach 18 points if tied on wins

  • The way things are looking in the schedule I think JPN/USA will be 1st/2nd, POL will be 3rd and winner of SLO/ITA will be 4th. Then it will be close between the loser of that game, BRA and ARG for places 5-7.

I also think NED will be eliminated and 8th place will be for the winner of SRB/FRA.

  • Renan is unbelievable. Brazil was playing good, keeping the game tie, he all of a sudden took Judson of the match, who was playing superb in attack, and puts Flavio who makes a serve error and got blocked, that ruined Brazil completely. Than, of course, he had to bring back Judson. Also, Alan is again, feeling something, in the 1st week he was already feeling pain, but still starting at every match, he had a difficult season in SL after that injury last year at VNL, like, let some guys play, where is Darlan and Abouba, or even Chizoba, Felipe Roque is useless.

  • challenger matches remaining (excluding SLO & NED)

    BUL vs. SRB & USA

    CAN vs. POL & CHN

    CUB vs. GER & IRI

    CHN vs. BRA & CAN

BUL, If CAN and CHN do not have a major upset or go 5 in their matches before Sunday, they should be safe as loser of that CAN/CHN match would probably be below BUL

If BUL can get to 5 sets in one of their remaining matches, should be safe on points.

For CUB, the IRI match maybe hypercritical. Win they are safe as if CAN/CHN may start on 2 wins and loser can’t reach 3 wins. If CAN/CHN goes 5 and CUB loses in <5 maybe out on points.

If CUB beat GER, they are safe if no upsets by CAN/CHN.

  • Back-to-back victories means that for the second consecutive year we made it to the Final Round. Not the best match we've ever played against Canada, way too relaxed and not focused on the match, but we managed to get the job done. Much better today against Slovenia, especially considering we enjoyed a comfortable lead both in the first and the third sets. A little bit of struggle in the second but we stepped up both on blocking and defence in the crucial moment. Michieletto and Lavia are getting better, a good news for the next appointments.

  • Was in the arena for the games today in Philippines. The Japan fanbase here is immense! Japan is playing well atm to lose to anyone. They're solid in almost all aspects of the game.

  • ,,Why Lavia plays in a sleeping mode ? Please De Giorgi wake him right now. I want to see the player who carried the team in the final of world championship not this mess. He is in the court and not. Anyway the last season Italy had problem with Michieletto and now with Lavia. What is happening with the Italians OH?

  • USA always relies on their serve so much... it's a very unpopular opinion but I rarely find them an interesting team to watch because of that.

  • Argentina played a completely perfect set and a half but suddenly lost all tension and can't even receive one serve properly.

Think I'm calling it a night since it's late here...
