Interesting move for Matsui. So that's a go for Seki, Matsui and possibly Mayu Ishikawa too. No other OHs rumored?
I would really like to see liberos play overseas but they're probably far more valuable playing in Japan.

The women's Red&White VNL send-off special match will be on April 14 at PFU's new arena in Kahoku, Ishikawa prefecture. It will also double as a charity event for the victims of the 2024 Noto Earthquake.
The design is basically the same as Saga's new arena only this one is equipped with a facility specifically designed for Kyudo (bow and arrow) and has a whole fine dining restaurant that serves the famous Noto beef.
Seki seems to be confirmed-ish for Imoco. That already solidifies her role as main setter.
Come VNL in May there won't be any more time to take risks on untested players unless accidents happen so it's best to stick with what already works.
My question now is who will be better suited as the main libero

The Fuku sisters, Hitomi and Satomi
U17 Girls won the Championship in the Winter Nations Cup, similar to the tournament in Italy that they also won last year (Domovip Winter Cup). No Yuzuki Baba in this roster, the last year's MVP.
MVP: Rion Chuganji
Best Setter: Kanon Himekomatsu
Best Libero: Miki Yoshii

Do you know of a Roster anywhere? I don't know the setter, isn't on any training camps I have ... but I'm kind of behind on the U-stuff this year

I haven't seen a roster list, but I believe these are all Junior High schoolers. The ones in High School from this U16 batch - Baba, McAllister, Mizokami, Semba are all not in this lineup. I don't know the setter also.
I just added the U17 business, etc., to the top post. I think this is complete schedule now for 2024:
U-Squad happenings:
The return of the Eastern Zonal thing Seems U23 squads used to compete in it. Not sure who will do it this time. JVA has it listed as a Uni thing, I think. No purpose to a U23 Squad any more?
The Cornacchia World Cup is later this month but Japan is not competing afaik. That thing is a disaster anyway
Wing Spikers:
Sarina Koga, Kotona Hayashi, Mayu Ishikawa, Arisa Inoue, Yukiko Wada, Hawi Okumu Oba, Mizuki Tanaka, Miwako Osanai, Ai Kurogo, Yoshino Sato
Middle Blockers:
Nichika Yamada, Airi Miyabe, Aya Watanabe, Ayaka Araki, Shion Hirayama, Hiroyo Yamanaka
Setters:
Nanami Seki, Tamaki Matsui, Tsukasa Nakawaga, Koyomi Iwasaki
Liberos:
Minami Nishimura, Satomi Fukudome, Manami Kojima, Akane Yamagishi
I think Manabe is set on the 10 he wants to bring to Paris (if they qualify)
The only spots that could be anyone else's are
2nd libero
4th MB
4th OH
and 2nd Setter (tho I think Matsui is also secured)
Aoyagi and Fukumoto not in the roster
Aoyagi and Fukumoto not in the roster
Why the heck is yamagishi in there I thought she's done, she just preventing Iwasawa's growth
Inoue is the third OH after all lol
There's no way Araki is making VNL she's one injury after another do they want her to stop functioning
Inoue is the third OH after all lol
2nd OH* lol
