I know this classification system it's ridiculous, but if you take look at the world ranking there are 5 Europeans among the 12 first places.
UK, Italy, Turkey are already classified. And Serbia and Russia will fight for two spots in a tournament that only Japan has better ranking than they. So we will probably have 5 Europeans in OG.
If Europeans are that way better than the others it's just win in the court, right? Sorry, but I think sometimes you complain a lot and forgot that in the past, for example, Russia had played the African Classification just to put one more European in OG. -
We as Turkey are between two continents( asia and europe) so we have to be invited to the two qualifacition tournaments in asia and europe
-
That's ridiculous that Russia had to play the African Olympic Classification! It's so ridiculous and funny at the same damn time

(Nedherlands is behind of Kenia and Algeria for example )

Ranking is based on some competition like OG, World Cup, WGP and WCH. What that means ? Only few european countries are able to play in this competitions because of limit for Europe. The rest is even not able to be inside so they cannot get any important ranking points.

yes...
normally, when you read Kim Sa-Nee, Kim Yeon-Koung, Yang Hyo-Jin and Hwang Youn Joo...you might know they are the best players already...

Don't be so

As far as I can judge yes. Sa-Nee is Korea's best setter and many years in NT, on all positions there are players who were starters in NT in the past few years (Hwang, Kim YK, Han, Yang, Jung). I think Korea has good chances to be in top 3 but even if not they should be best Asian team after Japan.

Chinese Taipei comes with the completely same squad from WGP qualification against Algeria...
Thailand 12 roster is almost forever-unchanged seven lineups players plus never-the-same substitutes...but the seven are just enough for seven matches, they always keep London dream alive
Cuba, the same roster from NORCECA COQT, very disappointing squad. Only one person less made so much difference...
Serbia, another disappointing team. they are really dangerous this time, top 3 is a little bit far from them.
Korea obviously is combined with a group of best players active all through this OG circle. cheers for MVP Kim, Yang H.J. and speedy attacker Hwang Y.J...
Peru with the same roster with CSV COQT. it will take them at least 36 hours to arrive in Tokyo from Peru via Amsterdam and Paris. such a tiring journey may embitter the depressed team.
Japan will name their roster at the last minute as always, but i bet it will be extremely strong to beat any rivals in this tournament.
Russia, most concerning team, Sokolova finally decided to quit with a strange reason of injury, but we all know....they are not in their best shape and still can do better...

Tatiana Kosheleva finished her rehab in Moscow and flied to Tokyo today!

So there's a chance she can play? THAT is the right attitude! Not like certain other stars
