Italy - Serie A1 2015/16

  • No, right word is strong.
Pomi beat Eczacibasi, Piacenza beat Dinamo Moscow, and Novara put good fight to Vakifbank. And still so many stronge teams in league, they have.

The league is strong yes, I didn't say it isn't. Lower ranked teams beating higher ranked, doesn't indicate the league is strong, just balanced. If those kind of situations happened for example in Romania, we wouldn't say their league is strong

  • Does someone has stream for Novara - Modena ?

  • Igor Novara - Liu Jo Modena 3:1 (25:18, 22:25, 25:15, 25:23)

Top scorer: Samanta Fabris 19 points (15attack, 2 blocks and 2 as servis)

    C. Bosetti attacked with %58, no errors/blocks, 14/24, probably the best performance for her team. Go Cate :super:

  • Link?

Sorry, it's just finished. Perfect game by Busto and another loss for Conegliano. Today Glass played for the first time and clearly she still needs time to connect with all the not-Amenrican players, but besides that Conegliano is having a lot of problems in keeping their focus for the entire match.

And in the meantime Club Italia has gained the first point.

  • Anything happened to Arrighetti? She started in 1st set but had no actions except one serve according to the stats, got replaced by Barazza and didn't return all match despite Barazza having weak stats...

Muscular injury (calf probably, at the end of the match she limped but she could stand up).

  • Conegliano lacks in continuity and has to find its chemistry now that Glass is back. Also Modena isn't playing at its best IMO, some players (Folie or Diouf) are having somany ups and downs that affect the team. Bergamo is finding its rhythm, beating maybe not the strongest teams in the league but at least the players are finding a better shape. Busto with a great performance against Conegliano, its a new team but still dangerous.. up tonow to me the best teams are Pomì and Piacenza, with Meijners on fire tonight!

I agree that right now Casalmaggiore and Piacenza are probably the top teams, but we have to consider that they both have CL and they don't seem to be there "just to participate", they will spend a lot of energies in it, so we'll see what will happen when they will be more tired and the other teams will find their rhythm. Everything can happen this year and I really like that!

BTW, Novara has just hired a psychologist to work permanently with the team, I'm curious to see if he will help them.

  • Also Novara is doing good, but I don't I see them a step behindboth Pomì and Piacenza (even Imoco but right now Coneglianolooks a bit in trouble).. Anyway the league is really balanced, there will be many interesting matches soon!

  • To me Casalmaggiore, Piacenza and Conegliano for the title. Anyway we shouldn't forget Barbolini's teams start slowly and find their best rythm and game during the play-offs, which makes me think Casalmaggiore is a bit over the other 2 contenders. Do you remember Perugia winning the title from the fifth place in regular season?

  • I was expecting your comment. And my answer is no. They couldn't win the title with a team twice physically stronger the any opponent, I see them as a team for the 4th or 5th place.

And yes, Fabris is amazing, awesome, awe-inspiring, sensational, remarkable, spectacular, stupendous, phenomenal, prodigious, extraordinary, incredible, unbelievable and so on :!:
