    1 SERBIA

    4 POLAND
    5 THE NETHERLANDS
    6 GERMANY
    7 RUSSIA
    8 BULGARIA
    9 BELGIUM
    10 AZERBAIJAN

  • Pool A: Belarus, Switzerland, Estonia

Pool B: Ukraine, Portugal, Georgia, Sweden

Pool C: Spain, Greece, Austria, Norway

Pool D: Slovakia, Finland, Montenegro, Kosovo

Pool E: Hungary, France, Israel, Denmark

Pool F: Slovenia, Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Latvia

  • So one of Belarus, Switzerland or Estonia will be out. All of them were in 2019 edition.

  • As far as I understand it, CEV intends to do qualifiers in late summer, but for the case that it's not possible there yet, they have already fixed dates for January as alternative. They'll take a final decision soon: https://www.cev.eu/News.aspx?NewsID=30733&ID=5

OK. I just assumed it would be the same period for all (either August for all pools or January for all pools).:)

  • Maybe if all (3 or) 4 countries in one pool agree that their respective conditions allow a somewhat adequate preparation, then they can go for the early date (and if not, then for the later date)? Anyway, if true, might still be a bit better for Switzerland to play all the matches in Belarus than in Estonia (assuming Belarus is the favorite to win anyway).

  • Beautiful and picturesque presentation of host countries and official logo of upcoming EuroVolley 2021.

  • Qualification Pools A (with BLR, EST, SUI) and F (with SLO, CZE, BIH, LAT) supposed to be played in August/early September for now. The other 4 pools postponed to January according to CEV.
