China NT 2021

  • It is heartbreaking to see/ know how she is being treated (sacrificing her health to win). The 🇨🇳🏐bigwigs should also be fired (they know everything and are the ones making the decisions). They would sacrifice anybody for the glory of success. Riding on the coattails of ZT and her present NT. They are the ones enjoying the fundings provided by the government I,e, fat salaries, bonuses, etc). Sadly, the athletes do not and cannot make decisions / choices for themselves. How could they take ZT’s injury lightly? She is one of a kind volleyball player and a legend of the 🏐sports. Hope her injury won’t end her 🏐career. GOD have mercy on her and help that she can recovery completely. May there be a miracle though GOD does. Hope she will be well taken care (best doctor, surgeon, therapist, etc) by the nation that she made sacrifices. If she cannot play anymore, give her a good job that she can live comfortably ( the money she would be making if she can play).

lang ping this time said only healthy players will make the line up, we will if she will keep her word

If so i think we will see on the court :

yuan xinyue and wang yuanwan as MB (yan ni is injured)

    LYY and ZHang as OH

    Liu Yanhan as OPP

Ding as setter and obv wng menjie as L

  • LiuYH is useless at right side and won't pass anyway. She should swap with ZhangCN.

However I think your lineup is more likely though knowing how stubborn JLP is in this tournament.

i really want china eliminated so that zhu can take the rest that she deserves and the necessary treatment

The sooner she starts the better

  • Guys i have a theory it might sound stupid but see:

What if the other players are playing badly and losing just to spite JLP because she always insists on putting zhu on court even if she's injured?

I'm not sure if the players would be willing to sacrifice their olympic dreams just because of that.

  • But it will certainly hurt morale if they know well how severe zhu's injury is and if she's forced to stay on court. I think there is a difference between the smaller injuries that you are expected to "push through" for a while versus ones that are potentially career-ending.

  • I think yall need to chill.. The players are not slaves and JLP is not a monster. If Zhu is uncomfortable playing, and her wrist is so badly injured I’m sure she can say and JLP won’t make her play.. to me Zhu looks happy on court. There have been plenty of examples in the past, when players who haven’t been 100% ready wanted to play and help their teams.
Also I don’t know why you act brand new, China has a history of players retiring early because of injuries.. I mean look at them, almost everyone has a brace, a tapped joint etc. We’ve seen a great player as Wang Yi Mei turn into a ghost in just 2 years.. Wei who I think was one of the greatest setter of all time, was almost never playing to her potential because of injuries.

  • Basically, almost all the 6 main players are all injured

Whats the reason that all of their injuries suddenly reappeared again now? Excessive training?

It is impossible these injuries happened over the course of 2-3 weeks. These injuries, especially among volleyball players, usually happened because of overused of the joints/tendon/ligament over a long period of time.

Somehow I feel like these players suffered from overtraining or overloading their weight training. Their slow movement on court might be due to muscle fatigue. And I have a theory that their slow reaction on court are due to mental fatigue as well.

There is a reason why these players seemed to be unbothered even after they lost their match. It almost feels like they just wanna get it over with.

  • Guess the mentality of the 🇨🇳 sports officials is nobody is indispensable. Its population is around 1.3 + billion which they have a large pool of people to pick and train to become athletes. In addition it has the money. However only few are gifted with natural athletic talents. They fail to cherish and treasure these individuals.

  • omg this is horrible

  • what makes us fans especially Zhu Ting fans mad and heartbroken is the disregard of Zhu Ting’s well being and career. Letting her suffer and endure pain such cruelty. Hurting her mentally because of subpar performance due to this injury ; letting her lose her confidence . The foremost concern is possibly ending her 🏐 career an illustrious one. Did she deserve this harsh treatment? Did she ask for it? 😱🤬😡😤😭

Well, she's a grown woman, not a child. She would know her body best, and if she really felt that pushing the wrist injury would render her useless at the Olympics, she should have spoken up and done something about it. I'm disinclined to believe the stereotypes about the Chinese, that they're just good and obedient little children who are always willing to do as they're told.

So, if Zhu pushed herself to the point of serious injury, she deserves just as much blame as anybody else for her predicament.

🇨🇳Is a communist country. It is a big brother kind of society. You think you really can go against the authorities? You will be in trouble if you go against the mandate.

That's another stereotype I'm disinclined to buy into. Anyway, Zhu Ting is the biggest star in volleyball; if she had really insisted that she needed more extensive treatment or time off, I'm sure her demands would have been accommodated.

If she's obedient by nature and would do anything her superiors told her to then she is still to blame for what happens to her own body.

I think that ,,she would know her body best'' is a contrary to any professionalism in modern sports, where professional athletes are monitored by specialists regarding their health and condition, who make valid decisions regarding intensity, weight of a training, and potential limitations during preparations. And first and foremost players function within a specific system: and the fact that Chinese players are more injury-prone, their careers are shorter and their shape has more fluctuation (examples of Wei or Wang) is a result of a system of training and general perspective of volleyball of Chinese coaches and a federation. So no offense, but this is not how professional sports looks right now. We all wish that Zhu won't become just another example of exceptional, but short career.

Paola Egonu finished her club season in early May, then she got few weeks of break after exhausting season from Mazzanti, and the she joined a training camp in late May. Ask yourself if something like that would be possible in a regime of Chinese volleyball system, and if this is a difference of preferences or awareness - or a whole different system in which they both are a part of.
