Italy - Serie A1 2018/19

  • I hope Conegliano is kicked out of CL. The players were also really nonsense in that rally. No fair play.

  • Anthi is really a great attacker, she can hit over the block and some of her kills were impressive. Filottrano's middles did a great job too,Garzaro has always been underrated imho while Cogliandro is a nice surprise. After so many injuries and despite her age,Cardullo is still an amazing libero :rose:

Bergamo is the disappointment of this season, their coach said they wanted to fight for the 4/5th place at the beginning of the season but they won't even qualify for the playoffs if they keep playing like this :gone:

  • That`s why I can`t truly like Conegliano....Club Italia won the set as Fabris spiked it out...but ref gave it to Conegliano... Things like this always happens with them.

I think, they have video challenge system all the time in A1 now? Why nobody called the challenge then?

  • Anthi is really a great attacker, she can hit over the block and some of her kills were impressive. She has improved a lot her reception, too. At the moment ,she is first in total points, among the OHs and with a very high%.Vasilantonaki and Orthmann, even they have a different style, are going to be the most wanted players next season.

  • I hope Haleigh Washington will play in a stronger team next season, she's too good for Brescia honestly. The other middle of Brescia,Veglia, is a terrible attacker but at least her blocking is solid.

Cuttino had a good match, she's a bit clumsy out of sytem and needs to work on that, but if she keeps playing like this, Pomì could be a threat against the strongest teams

  • It looks Pomi is doing better job without Rahimova, one more proof that you don’t need world class player for your team to work. And I believe Rahimoba wasn’t cheap player at all.

  • It is not on Malinov anymore. Stevanovic simply can't score. I don't know what's wrong with her. She's getting good sets, good looks and hitting hard...but she simply can't kill it.

She did improve later, especially in the 2nd set she was unstoppable, like in her best days. Her level dropped somewhat again later, but she does have positives to take from this match, as her came is clearly there, it's just a matter of getting it together. It must be a confidence issue, like I guess is the case with Chirichella. I don't know what the deal with Adenizia is, though. Clearly she's more of a blocking MB and she's doing great in that aspect of the game, but they're not even trying to use her in attack. Don't know why, as she's more than capable.

I didn't watch Novara, but I imagine it was a lot like their league match against Conegliano when simply nothing worked. They have to get to the bottom of such non-performances and figure out what is causing them.

  • Can it be that Lowe is now replacing Fabris in the starting six? CL quarters are coming soon and it seems that now is the time to be creating that extra harmony that on court time together develops. I know Lowe has had some big moments but I've yet to see her take over the match like Fabris can when she is totally in her zone. CL is about limiting mistakes and being on top of your game. After watching ECZ get routed by Vakif in their last match I feel that Imoco has a solid opportunity to take them out. Imoco clicked like a well tuned engine against Lodz, or maybe I should say a fine running Tesla so that has to be a positive sign of their re-imergence. This match will tell if that is truly so.

  • I think it is great for player to get some rest and to think about their mistakes but yeah you are right I think that now it is time to put your team in extra speed to create some positive energy because huge matches are coming.

But Folie is not ready to play full time all the time. This is very smart to put her in the game little by little.

  • I'm not watching but Scandicci MBs are without points after 1set and half :white:
