Egonu seems to have found her groove and Busto looks a bit defeated already. Don't see Novara losing this one now.

Yes, the fourth set turnaround decided the match in favour of Novara. Busto players are now frustrated.

But it was still a great effort by Busto Arsizio, few had expected, that they could cause such big trouble for Novara. This is good news especially for Conegliano, which take as only team of the top four today all three points.

And Novara is still undefeated! I didnt think Nizetich could have changed the match, but she came into a positive way. She isnt a superb passer, but at least she helps much more in that skill that Plak.
Egonu was well defended throughtout almsot all the match, but she scored the clutch points in the 4th set and tie-break.

I agree about Nizetich. She isn't a world class player for sure but she is such a fighter!

What a match between Busti and Novara! There has been a lot of great rallies, the teams showed their best when it counted. Congrats to busto for the beautiful game, excellent defence at the beginning and also congrats to Novara that managed to turn around the match after a slow start. Egonu is out of this world.
If only Novara's MBs were more involved in the game..

Their attack looks like Rahimova in Japan or Montano in Korea for the moment. Haak is the pilot of Scandicci and the rest is just passengers on a free-seat ride to the end of the game.
Haak with 31 pts and 57% in attack.
Vasileva 7 pts and 30% in attack.

Lucia B. has more a "defensive role" but I expect much more from Vasileva,let's see if she will improve with time

But 26% is not good even for a de facto libero. Some seasons ago, while playing for Piacenza, she had 40%+ spike rate over an whole season. I know she´s been injured since then but still...

Both Scandicci and Novara are quite boring to watch. I like Busto a lot. They are a "team".

At least she managed to get Stevanović more involved, I think she was standing at 3 points after two sets and it went significantly up after Caracuta took over. But yeah, it's clear they need more contribution from their OHs if they want to go places.
Having Bartsch and Plak together on court at the same time is very unlikely to ever work for Novara.
It was an exciting round. Two favourites managed to just barely avoid being upset. And I must say that the TV match between Brescia and Chieri yesterday was an entertaining affair as well.

All of those are opposites (we see, why they are usually called the main attackers
), some OHs are behind, but among top 20 and best and only middle among the top 20 is Adams with 3.2. -
By the way: the mode of Coppa Italia is unchanged? At last it was, so far I remember, that the best 8 teams after half of the league round (i.e. now after 12 matches for each team) were ranked accordingly for the quarters with home and away match and eventually golden set, and the four winners play the final four.
