i read gunes and erdem dont play in the first set
Gunes played a bit but Eda didn't
Either way, still a set for Korea
I do think they did improve, Yeom's setting looked better (the rest... hmm, but they all seem optimistic despite the losing streak)
Since in the previous 7 matches they weren't able to win a set even when their opponents had made a lot of mistakes

Korea finally winning its first set in the VNLs, against Turkey no less
Could be partially related to Cesar understanding the Turkey players and Guidetti from Vakif well? -my guess
Heejin and Jeongah are both playing too, though I wouldn't attribute much to them considering they've played in previous VNL matches as well
Yes, it's highly likely due to not just Cesar but one of the assistant coach also being Turkish himself and is on the Vakifbank team.
I honestly think Heejin just needs to sit out completely. She's just not herself and I don't think she's going to be back to normal.
I still believe in JeongAh.

Ugh. It's official. Kim is staying in Korean V-league (흥국생명/HeungKuk Saeng Myung) for one year contract at 7원 which is basically around $600K.

Ho-Young Jung got injured during the friendly game against Poland. They needed to take her to hospital

That is the second KGC player that is out injured.

Didn't I read a post here earlier that some clubs don't want to let their players go to the NT for fear they will get injured

I believe you were referring to what suminj mentioned on the previous page that he read some fan saying that GS Caltex's head coach CHA Sang-Hyun didn't want to send AN Hye-Jin to the NT to be the backup setter.

Look like ankle from the picture.
Its always this problems isnt it, club vs national teams.

Well the mindset is to "not get injured" "don't overdo it", as per the words of a senior player who gave an interview back in Korea
Didn't I read a post here earlier that some clubs don't want to let their players go to the NT for fear they will get injured
I think you read that from my post on VNL thread
The post about GS's coach was him not wanting Ahn Hyejin to go NT and lose confidence as a setter
-
So they got to get another middle blocker to replace JHY...
kgc sent 4 players to NT...3 got injured..left Park Hye Min

KGC actually sent five players. There's also Yeum Hyeseon (who also have an injury history).
-
park eun jin also recovering from injury, so the remaining MB for kgc is Han song yi and lee Ji Soo.
Probably Go eui jeong gonna cover MB too.

Oh my bad...they sent 5 players...3 injured...no wonder the clubs does not want to release their players

Ironically they just traded a MB for a setter with Hillstate. Can't blame them though cause they wouldn't have a back-up setter otherwise.
Poor Ko Heejin and Lee Sookja. This is gonna be a huge headache. I wonder if they would have tried harder to keep Ha Hyorim had they known this.

Yeah, but the NT is also where they can gain valuable experience that they would never gain in the Korean league.
Players like Jung Hoyoung and Lee Seonwoo have been back up players in their team, Suddenly they had the chance to play against some of the biggest volleyball stars. I honestly can't see why young players like them wouldn't want it. If someone's lucky, they can even hit it big like Kim Heejin after the last Olympics.
But three players from KGC though...

I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out.
Apparently Hwang Minkyoung haven't been training because she's (also) injured (source).

Sad to say Korea made history by being the first team to lose all games, 0-12.
I have to say super embarrassing but needed for the ultimate wake up call.
Sometimes for change to happen, these events need to happen.
Dare I say, I'm hopeful for what the future will be BUT all I can say is Yeom Hye Sun and Kim Hee Jin needs to retire from NT.
