Well I feel bad now I said Hanai should go but she's actually retiring
-
I wouldn't mind seeing Momii at Saga. No one will beat Sakae's spot but Mandai is not enough. Also how about they get Arina so she can have her comfort zone destroyed in Japan just saying

so ebrar can retire????

No so Nagaoka can retire. I phrased it badly I thought it would be obvious that I'm referring to Miyu
-
it would be so much easier for valdes if she transferred to saga now and then put them back to top three but since that's not happening then i dont see saga getting back to top 3 either. nagaoka can only take them so far and their coach heavily relies on her since the kiddies aren't solid in almost all areas yet.
i think hitachi has the best chance of hitting 3rd next season after nec and jt

Miyashita is leaving Okayama. She is getting a press conference so I don’t know if that means she is retiring or not.

In addition to Miyashita, Aimi Kawashima, Akari Maeda and Ayame Endo are leaving Okayama Seagulls.
Hitachi also announces Kanako Saito retiring and Aya Watanabe transferring (?).

Saitama Ageo Medics list of players leaving:
- Kyoko Aoyagi
- Hibiki Suzuki
- Yoshiko Kamei

Its nice to see Aoyagi capping her career with her first Div 1 JVL award and her first (?) VNL participation.
-
can someone confirm that miyashita is really retiring

Okayama Seagulls setter Haruka Miyashita and captain Ayumi Kawashima retire from active duty
-
way too soon. do you have a hunch as to why she decided to retire this early? she would've been the last of the rio girls since she was the youngest of the bunch i did not expect her exit this soon

We'll have to wait for the press conference after Black Eagle. The media will definitely cover it

She's an exceptional player, a 'go getter' who would give it a good swing if given half a chance... hope she's just transferring and not a retirement

They never reveal anything in those retirement ceremonies as
1. it's prohibited by both the team and JVL
2. as per tradition it's meant to showcase their achievements with the national team above all
The only exception would be if the athlete is suffering from any major illness or injury as the result of their decision to retire and even then that's completely up to the player if they want to reveal it to the public.
