2020 / 2021 Transfer Rumors & Discussion (Female)

  • Why not? Two top foreign MB with a scorer Opp is not a bad transfer policy. I would prefer to see that instead of having foreign OHs in Eczacıbasi.

2 great midles yes, great in theory , but who will be set balls for them and who receive the balls. 3 foreign spot is finish in that case, who will be next to Hande on OH position, and you think that all thing will be functional with Gamze.

    I dont think so.

Even with foreign setter and one of the Veljkovic/Ogbogu that doesn't look promising to me.

  • I think everyone agrees that the number of good setters nowadays is not more than 5-6. And even good ones like Nootsara or Ding wouldn't necessarily work well in Eczacıbasi. Those setters would function only in a system. For instance, Nootsara wouldn't show her magic in a team without a solid reception and fast MBs.

Really good point! IMO Nootsara was just fine playing for European teams.

Also agree with the comment on setters. I think Ognjenovic, Wolosz, Macris are by far the best nowadays, but I think Dani Lins, Fabíola, and Naz can do a decent job in European teams too.

  • An overview how to teams in the Italian league will look like next season. I don't know if its reliable? Some interesting points:

    - It says Hill will stay in Conegliano, but is also says Bartsch and McKenzie Adams are possible reinforcements. This isn't possible, considering the fact that one team can only have 2 players of the same country.

    - Bonifacio to Novara. This would be a waste of talent, because she probably will be benched with Chirichella and Washington on the same team. Although I would prefer her over Chirichella.

    - Courtney to Fenerbahçe. Could this mean Robinson will leave?

  • Duo Hill and Bartsch would be great, with this upgrade Conegliano will be out of this World :cheesy:

Maybe Robinson is going to Ecz, my God I hope they will not signed Thompson next to Hande :what:

  • Rumors for Conegliano

Paola Egonu, Wolosz, Sylla, De Krujif, Folie, De Gennaro are staying

Adams OH is coming, and if Hill will not stay in Conegliano they are gone signed Bartsch.

So Conegliano will looks almost the same next season. But having Hill-Bartsch is not gone happend. To bad.

  • I love Tomkom really bad but not sure if she will work well for Eczacibasi, not for her setting but due to her height and gap in blocking. I agree on comments about receiving and strong middles. Eczacibasi had a good receiving line this season, their problem were mainly middles who could not attack. This is impossible to fix even if they added a strong attacking foreign MB to their squad. The only option is having Asli Kalac and Tomkom duo, Tomkom can make a beast out of Asli in attacking, but their block height together will be punishable.

Eczacibasi can use a good receive+fast sets system if Tomkom joins them. Gamze used to be the best local setter when it comes to playing a fast system. So she can go back to her roots too. Problem is, when you have Hande and Boskovic on wings, such a system will be difficult to establish, unless you get Robinson as 3rd wing player.

Hill-Bartsch duo in Imoco with Wolosz can be insane indeed. Both can hit fast balls, Bartsch is clearly an improvement compared to Sylla for that reason.

  • I'm 100% sure that Ecz with Ogbogu and Veljkovic with Hande and Meliha as OH duo would be 10 times better team than have Thompson and Hande duo with 1 foreign MB.

  • We all know Ding and Yuan are good choices for vitra, but the og was delayed, and Yuan is a soldier...so it is difficult to handle those things

When Ding Xia and Yuan come I will buy every single Vitra match ticket ;(

That would be a dream. And Zhu in VB so Yuan can scream in her face

Thompson and Hande like OH is craziness, i dont think this solution should be commented at all lol, my "problem" with Meliha-Hande as OH duo is because that duo wouldn't provide stable reception, both Hande and Meliha is subject to error in that aspect, especially Hande, against stronger serving teams that not be decent receiving duo, on the other hand also in attack Meliha struggle a lot, one more thing problematic thing in Hande-Meliha-Veljlovic-Ogbogu-Gamze (+Boskovic, but she is superb anyway) team is that Veljkovic is player who needs a perfect set to show all her strenght, she isn't prone to improvisation and her attack and jump technique diminishes the possibility of such a thing (ofc like most other MB's but especially to her), and she isn't very good blocker and Ogbogu also isn't specialist for that part of the game.

At the end, team with Veljkovic-Ogbogu definetly would be better than team with Thompson-Hande but IMO there are many flaws and i don't think it would certainly work perfectly.

IMO Eczacibasi must construct their team on the foundation on their domestic player Yasemin-Hande-Simge, that foreign player choose based on that, not because of foreigner domestic player adapt and change their system every year or two.

And last thing is one question, where did you get idea of Meliha in Eczacibasi, some rumor or just a wish/suggestion.

  • Wish/suggestion based on two foreign MB.

  • Sinead Jack-Ogbogu

    Sinead Jack-Veljkovic

    >>>>>>>

    Ogbogu-Veljkovic

The latter duo makes no sense.

  • in my eyes Sinead Jack-Yasemin makes the most sense. And Hande-KYK or Hill/Robinson for KYK.

It's also the kind of stability between locals and foreigners EczV NEEDS

  • With slider attacker that could be functional, i forgot to mention that in my previous posts.

  • With slider attacker that could be functional, i forgot to mention that in my previous posts.

While on that subject, it seems to me Yasemin has a potential to be a very good slider. If she could develop as much as her early promise indicated, perhaps Vitra would not have to bring expensive foreign MBs to take a crucial foreign spot to such a position, especially because they lack stable, trustworthy domestic options on both setter and OH positions (beyond Hande). If the limitation would be increased to 4, then maybe.

  • Where is Maja Aleksic going to play this year? I think she's a really strong blocker.

Also fingers crossed for Nasya Dimitrova, hopefully she gets a call from a bigger club, her slide attack is insanely good.

  • Well Eczacibasi seems to have a traditional line up (call it good or bad) for many years now. They like to play with stable sets to wings where middles are simply there for only blocking. So I guess they will make transfers fitting to this style unless they get a fresh trainer with different ambitions or Nalan Ural (their manager) is sacked.

It is also similar to FB, they are also building an offensive team with strong servers as a tradition. So I expect them to find players fitting to this style.

I mean that in story about two foreign middles, but i explain also that i am not optimistic in that strategy at all.
