Chinese reception pattern, quite simply, is to keep whoever has the better chance of getting the kill from reception. Both Zhu and Zeng are capable passers, so there are times for example when the team is with setter in position 1 Zhu will stay out of the reception so she can attack from the left, or when setter in position 2 and Zeng will stay out of reception for setter pushing up. They will also sometimes rotate the reception if one of them are not passing well. The only constant is the Libero (of course) and OH2 are always part of reception, so Hui (or whoever is OH2) has a lot of pressures to both receive and score when needed.

i think JPN also does that, with saori kimura sometimes passing and sometimes the OPP (but not nagaoka, i don't think she passes ever).

i was watching some JPN matches and i noticed ishii seems to be struggling with her passing a lot?

i always liked juciely, she's dynamic, she is always moving and hustling, she jumps really well, good back slider and blocker. i wonder, will she finally make it to the olympics next year? she's not young and with carol and adenizia competing for the backup spot to thaissa and fabiana, it'll be tough next year… but she certainly deserves it.

Zhu receives 4 times and Zeng receives 2 times, mainly to keep their backrow attack if one is in position 5 or 6. It's quite complicated system.

I noticed that HK will broadcast OP songs from Japanese manga "Naruto" and "Shokugeki no Soma" after Japan got a point, so it's no surprise they use "Let it go" for USA.

Lol, I have a similar problem. I know their names, but I can't recognize them if don't see the numbers or the name on the shirt. The players I recognize just watching their faces: Hui Rqui and Li Jing. That's all.

Fisrt of all Asian names especially Chinese are pretty hard to pronounce so that might be the thing.. Second USA staff always talk about players in numbers even Gamova and Sheilla are 11 and 13.. I don't see the problem here

I think it's more of a cultural issue. In the western world, especially in US, you can sometimes be just a number. People tend to be more subjective in the eastern world and attach more emotions to small details. For instance, if Harmotto mentioned a name or two, that would be very honourable.
