Guess someone or someones are not going overseas, unless they play in the same city.
are they going at Monza?

バレーボール スーパーリーガ - 石川祐希: 「個人としてもチームとしてもミランと共に成長し
Yuki Ishikawa is the only volleyball player and the only non-soccer athlete (afaik. 2 musicians and a theater actor) included in Maya Yoshida's hosted charity auction for the Japan Professional Footballers Association
Maya Yoshida is considered one of the best soccer players in Japan at the moment. He's also the captain of the Japanese Soccer NT.
Yoshida chose Ishikawa since he's part of JOC's "Heroes" category. I don't know if they're even friends.

Best Hitter: Restu Kusano
I wasn't sure where to ask this but does anyone know about this Souma highschool star from Chinzei High? Why is he so popular? Volleyball Monthly/getsuvb dedicated 10 pages in the current issue just for him that's a first for some highschool star

Souma Matsumoto. Chinzei’s (now former) “ace”. Scored a ridiculous number of points at last year’s Haruko and got super popular on social media (I guess also because he is good looking). He opened a public instagram account last year which I rarely see happening with highschoolers. He has a good amount of followings for someone like him. I didn’t follow the 2023 edition but he was probably the best scorer for his team this year too.
Rest in peace Fujii
OMG this is really heartbreaking 💔
Rest in Peace Fujii. 💔
also feel bad for his wife Sato
However slim his chances were of surviving, he remained hopeful and fought in his own way to the very end.
Rest in peace
Fujii passed away just 3 days after Miya Sato's birthday : ( rest in peace
I am guessing that they did not hear until after the match.
When I first started watching Japanese men's volleyball he was the face I recognized as the setter.
Sending love to Miya Sato, the Fujii family, and Japanese volleyball community.

There are photos from fans showing some of the players here already crying while posing to take this photo.
I just opened twitter and my TL is filled with news of his passing. I was hoping that he would make it if only for the sake of starting his own family. I hope Miya is surrounded by loved ones through this difficult time. It's the start of spring in Japan I'm hoping that somehow the cherry blossom season means that his passing carries a more joyful sentiment despite the loss. rest in peace
