if US can stabilize their reception (two good passing OHs and libero), then why not use bartsch as OPP?

they've tried it before but still not good enough.
-
They tried Bartsch as OPP but she hits better at the left side.

I've said it many times, I'm gonna repeat it. Karch treats USA players as if they are Japan. Yes they don't have a dominant OPP, but apart from Kim Glass and Hodge I don't remember them having offensive OHs. And also Karch still had Hogde and Klineman, who can kill high slower balls, and yet he came up with this 'system' of his. Akinradewo can kill any decent set, Adams is a good attacker too. IMO there was no need for this dramatic change

His dramatic vibes took over. I agree.

Hill and Bartsch are USA best OH right now.
Bartsch is playing amazing whole season, from reception to attacking.
She played amazing againat Vakifbank.

Lately she has been performing good, I wouldn't say amazing all season

I wonder why coach Kiraly keeps calling Gibbemeyer out. Seriously, she has shown nothing during this season and I don't think she'll get any better.

It's true, Gibbys has had 2 rough seasons, but she is the best blocker out of all MBs USA has, so she's neeeded IMO

Keba Phipps a phenomenal player wasted by USA volleyball

Anyone know why Akinradewo is not on the roster for VNL? It would make sense if neither Larson, Hill, Robinson were there, but all the 'veterans' are in, except for her

Murphy is not on the list either. But the difference is that #12 is taken by Jordan Thompson, whereas #16 seems to be kept for Foluke. I guess is that Foluke will just take the summer off since she got married last fall and hadn't even enjoyed her honey moon. I expect her to be back with the NT for WC.

Any reason why MB that played in Japan this season is not in the roster? Couldn’t remember her name, it was something like Al-Rahmad.

Rhamat Alhassan.

Karch said Murphy won't be invited
-
Rhamat Alhassan's season in Japan wasn't quite successful as I would expect. In contrast, both Haleigh Washington and Chiaka Ogbogu had a fairly successful season at their respective clubs. So I am not surprised that Alhassan is not invited, and I think Washington and Ogbogu are better than her as of now.

I always envisioned Alhassan and Ajanaku to be the future middles for USA. It's great to see that there are others who are progressing and developing in the right direction.

same here. those two were my bets for 2024 since ajanaku is a great attacker and alhassan is consistent top blocker.
expect retkke to be in the mix in the coming years.
