Italy - Serie A1 2023/24

  • Plummer had a great match, at least according to the stats.

Her perfect passing is much higher than both De Gennaro and Castillo and the highest of all players. And she's still the second best scorer of her team, despite Vero Volley targeted her on service to limit her offesive game. :dance6:

She has indeed improved in her passing game. Her next target of improvement should be her floor defense.

Even Castillo couldn't contain her attacks. It was packed with so much power.

  • All the team was bad because she find a magic way to put all of them out of rhythm with her slow and monotonous style. 43 sets to Egonu and 45 to all the others and specially Paola always with double block. Also 9 sets to the middle from the 88 sets and it suppose that the MB is the strongest source of points after Paola.

In a team sport like volleyball, where a single player simply can't win the match alone even if he or she is phenomenal, the value of the individual can't be weighed without considering the context and the team in which he or she plays. I take the example of Bajema because sometimes she's quite criticized: yesterday she had a terrible day (aced three times, just one point scored), but that doesn't mean she's as bad as she's depicted. She struggled because the whole team was bad.

By the way, it looks like Milano is a tinderbox waiting for the smallest spark to explode: https://dal15al25.gazzetta.it/…po-il-3-0-con-conegliano/.

  • I am impressed by novara regularity this year considering many injuries and new players

    Vita akimova carrying them

  • There's more than a typo error. Anyway it's for the next season, apparently.

Vero Volley in big troubles. She was by far the most consistent player of the team. There's almost no oscillation in her game level.

She is one of the most decorated libero when it comes to best awards in NT level but she doesn't have much club medals yet. So I hope she would go to a club she can win medals. Maybe in Conegliano when de Gennaro retires?

She won LVSF with Criollas de Caguas and a few league titles with Rabita Baku.

After that she never played abroad for title contenders till this season (I never saw Savino Del Bene as title contender, maybe next season with a better team).

caring much about club awards for a libero not born in a country with a strong local league is weird... its so hard for liberos to play for strong teams as non local. Clubs willing to start doing that for brenda just shows how good she is

Yes Unfortunately it is true. However a good libero really can upgrade a team (look at GS, their biggest problem is that amateur level libero they have) so I hope the rumours about liberos won't be counted as foreigner is true.

Puerto Rico had so many good liberos few years ago. They could all easily play for good teams in Europe, but some of them were benched in their home league (and some of them even retired due to lack of chance to play), because the island is struggling with money and LVSF only has 6/7 recently.

I also would like to see the dominicans Yaneirys Rodriguez and Larysmer Martinez abroad.

A free spot for liberos would be amazing.

  • So happy, Seria A is looking great. The best level of the league in years.
