Italy really need to start to sort things out. Their fans don't deserve this (but the people responsible for all the mess do)
There will be the usual scapegoat and everything will continue like nothing has happened. Just like in the novel Il Gattopardo.

I think ITA did amazing the first set BUT once Antrapova was read and the reception turned for the worse towards the end of Set 3 (via Sylla) it was not that good looking for ITA. I think the OHs were able to balance the ship once Antrapova's is getting nasty blocks.

She is the last problem for Italy. Leaving not only Paola, but every other girl is crime !MAZZANTI OUT !!!!
Italy could be a very strong team if somehow Paola and Antropova could play together. Can you imagine Paola, Antropova and Piatrini on the court at the same time. What a fire power!! But I am not sure if Antropova could play as an OH.

This is the season when they should try this, next year if you ask me it is to late….
Cate Bosetti and Pietrini duo is just fine. Next to De Gennaro Italian reception would be amazing.Fahr-Lubian MB duo with Paola with double sub with Antropova, Fersino as reception specialist.

TBH Italy will go to OG as well anyways. In case of Poland, they would need to still do well in VNL to succeed and you never know, injuries, some random things may happen and who knows. But maybe it will help to bring back Egonu to NT so it will have a good thing for Italy too.

Finally the OQT is over, congrats to Brazil, Dominican Republic, Poland, Serbia, Turkey and USA for winning the tickets!
After the boring first week there were lots of great games and surprises this week. The Dominicans are definitely the biggest surprise of the tournament and Brenda is undoubtedly the MVP.
Also kudos to losing teams like the Netherlands, Canada and Thailand for making some upsets. The competition between the Dutch and the Canadians for the last ticket next year will be very interesting.
Biggest disappointments are of course China & Italy. Question will be whether they will finally sack their coaches and bring their best players back. The game just isn’t completed when both Zhu and Egonu are missing. -
